Quick tips for the holiday season
The festive season is well and truly here!
Whether you are staying open for business over the holidays or clocking off for Christmas, update and personalise your number settings to keep your callers and customers in the know.
Here are some quick tips from us.
Update Open/Close times and voice greetings
No need to leave callers on hold unnecessarily. Set your Open/Close times, and update introductions, out-of-hours and other voice greetings to match. You can change and customise all of your settings directly from your number configuration page, and Quick Close your number any time you need to.
You can also use the app to update voice greetings and number settings. If you don’t have the app, you can download it for free for your device from here.
Enable your voicemail
Enabling your voicemail is always useful to ensure you never miss an opportunity if you can’t answer the phone straight away. You’ll get instant notifications by email when you have received a voicemail to help you return your calls fast.
If your office will be closed…
Why not personalise your voicemail voice prompt to encourage your customers to leave a message or call back when you re-open.
If your business is staying open…
Notify your customers of important information via voicemail when you can’t take the call. All number setting changes update instantly, so you can provide real-time information for your callers and even let them know about your current promotions!
On hold music
Our on hold music selection is updated regularly, including the latest top 10 chart tracks. We have a great selection of festive music, so if you haven’t already, why not update your music to spread some festive cheer or try out a new music category. You can change your music whenever you need to from your number settings.
Set up your redirects
Re-route your phone calls to provide cover over the festive season, and to ensure business continuity whatever the weather.
Diverting your calls to mobile is a great way to ensure you don’t miss an opportunity wherever you need to be. You can even use your mobile device as an additional line in emergencies or to overflow your calls when things get really busy!
